
Although the 305 connecting rod (bottom) is
dimensionally the same as a
350 rod, it is a less desireable piece-the beam is thinner and
the rod is
slightly lighter. Prior to the blueprinting operation, these rods
held up well
during dyno testing and high-speed operation. During the rebuild,
RHS
substituted 350 rods with good B&B Performance bolts as a
safety
measure.
